MY TOP 10 SMALL FORWARDS IN THE NBA

Disclaimer: As the title says it is my top 10 list. Any player or team ranking would always be a debate and disagreement, which i'm proudly open to. Ranking is mostly based off last season. As for positions I let ESPN.com decide that.

10. ANDREW WIGGINS

Andrew Wiggins this past season had his best year yet, in my opinion. Was efficient and an elite defender. Could make an argument he was the Warriors best defender this past season. Played 71 out of 72 games.

9. JERAMI GRANT

Jerami Grant's first season with Detroit was his best statistical season, given the opportunity to be himself. Good defender which a lot of switch-ability who blossomed to an almost 20 point scorer this year. I'm excited for this Pistons team and the young core surrounded by Jerami.

8. DEMAR DEROZAN

Feels low putting Deebo here at 8, but it is a deep position. DeMar has progressed a lot offensively into a great passer. Still a good slasher and mid ranger shooter and one of the best at drawing fouls. Excited to see him on this new Bulls team this upcoming season.

7. MICHAEL PORTER JR.

With star PG Jamal Murray out last season MPJ had more opportunity playing with a great playmaker in Jokic as well. Just 23 years old he has a lot of potential to be higher on this list. Averaging a historically efficient 19 point per game last season.

6. KRIS MIDDLETON

One of the more underrated and less talked about guys in the NBA, Kris Middleton. Good 2 option next to Giannis who always steps up in the big moments and is very efficient, good defender as well. Much love respect for him and Jrue Holiday for winning an NBA Championship then going on to play in the Olympics just days later, in todays rest-heavy league.

5. BRANDON INGRAM

BI is one of the best shot creators in the league and one of my favorite players to watch in the league. Only 24 years old with back to back averages of 24 points a game. Good passer and solid defender as well.

4. JIMMY BUTLER

Jimmy is still one of the best perimeter defenders and ball strippers in the league while expanding his offensive game to be great and slashing and drawing fouls and being a great playmaker. Despite the disappointing statistical playoff series against Milwaukee I expect Jimmy to have a bounce back season.

3. JAYSON TATUM

23 year old Jayson Tatum is one of the best young players in the league. This upcoming season with the Celtics I expect him to get to the line a lot more and draw fouls to expand his game. Averaging 26 last year the sky is the limit for Tatum's stardom.

2. KAWHI LEONARD

Kawhi was an ACL injury away from potentially making Clippers history this past season but injuries have been common recently in his career. We all know who Kawhi is, still a good defender despite his increase in offense load these past few seasons and one of the best mid range shooters in the league.

1. LEBRON JAMES

And of course still at one, Lebron. Not much needs to be said. Despite being 37 and his game expectedly evolving as he gets older I expect Lebron to have less of a load on him at least scoring wise this year with newly acquired Russell Westbrook on his team this upcoming season.
