NBA PLAYERS THAT NEED A CHANGE OF SCENERY
In the NBA, often times in the league situation is everything; especially when it comes to how great a player can be. And how great a player can be relates to their next contract amount, playing time, longevity in the league, and accolades. Whether it be through the NBA draft or via a trade, a lot of players end up in the wrong situation. And today's set of players I believe they can flourish and grow in a different situation as opposed to the one they are currently in.

MATTISE THYBULLE
Starting off with one of the more controversial players in the league that you either hate or love, Mattise Thybulle. With Philadelphia's offseason additions of De'Anthony Melton, Danuel House, and PJ Tucker I believe it will be hard for Thybulle to find significant play time. The 76ers are in their current best position to compete for a championship and do not have time for Thybulle to develop a competent enough offensive game, despite him being obviously an elite defender. I would love for Thybulle to go to a young team that is rebuilding or a team that strengthens and highlights his strengths and limits his weakness as much as possible.
Coby White in the right situation can be the perfect 6th man for a team and a quality backup combo guard. Coby is a streaky shooter with great size for his position and with the right free reigns he could flourish into being a quality player. Chicago currently has their guard rotation set with Alex Caruso, Lonzo when he comes back, Zach LaVine, Ayo Dosunmu, Goran Dragic, and drafting Dalen Terry.

ISAAC OKORO
Isaac Okoro is in one of the weirdest situations in the league. Drafted 5th overall in 2020 by the Cavaliers to be their shooting guard of the future yet with them trading for Caris LeVert and drafting Ochai Agbaji there is not much wiggle room for him to develop. The Cavs also have put themselves in a weird spot with Collin Sexton which is an entirely other topic for another day but he is a shooting guard that if he does return will garner shooting guard minutes. Okoro is a kind of player with great physicals but has a very raw skillset coming into the league and will need opportunities to develop. The potential is there, but the play time and situation likely will not be there in Cleveland with their awkward roster construction.

DYLAN WINDLER
Another Cavs shooting guard makes this list, this time it is former first overall pick just a couple years ago in 2019, Dylan Windler. The former Belmont wing screams the kind of player that if he was on any other team would flourish and find his niche in the league. Windler has had a very injury riddled career to start, but in the right situation and opportunity he can be a great 3&D guy for a team. With the Cavs having a galore of shooting guards with not enough size to really play small forward and them running an old fashioned offense, Windler's fit on the team is not the greatest.
BJ is the player on this list that is probably in the best situation out of everyone on this list but he is the kind of player I would love to see in a better situation where he could potentially be the starting guard or one of the first players off the bench. The Clippers have a plethora of elite wings that make up the entire clippers rotation. While I love that the Clippers did take the "risk" on Brandon Boston Jr that he was labeled coming out of Kentucky but he is the kind of wing that is oozing in potential with his skillset and size at his position. He is a player that does not belong in the g league and belongs to be on a roster garnering quality minutes.

DONOVAN MITCHELL
Spida is an easy player to put on this list, obviously the Jazz are blowing it up and Mitchell should be the next player to go. For Mitchell to be in the best situation and not in a mediocre position that he was previously in it is best he plays next to a bigger guard. Being a 6'1 shooting guard has its limits especially on defense so it should be in Mitchell's best interest to go to an elite defensive team that has size around him. When the Knicks drafted Obi Toppin it was personally a major head scratcher for me since they had Julius Randle and a head coach in Tom Thibodeau. While Toppin is not by age a young player he is by league experience, and Thibs is the kind of coach to not give young players any kind of room for error. Thibs is also the kind of guy to inflate his star players in minutes so Randle is dominating the power forward minutes in New York night in and night out. Despite not being in the best situation Toppin has shown flashes to be a solid and very energetic player that can be much more than he currently is in New York.
It always confused me why the Knicks traded for Cam Reddish this past season then proceeded to not give him any play time. Then I remembered who their coach was. While Reddish is a solid defensive wing, he is not a Thibs type player; aka a vet. Reddish is a 6'9 wing oozing in potential but needs to be in the right situation to flourish. Cam is still young and does show flashes to be that excellent 3&D wing, Paul George esk wing we continue to label him as but he is yet again in another rocky situation such as he was in ATL. Stay tuned as I will most likely be making a separate article for the best situations for Cam Reddish.
In typical young Laker fashion, THT has been in trade rumors since the night he has been drafted. Horton-Tucker is a player that needs the ball in his hands to be most effective. When Lebron James and Anthony Davis is on your team, there is not much reps you will be getting to create your own shot and develop and hone in on your skills. As it should be, the Lakers are currently in win now mode and just do not have the wiggle room for Horton-Tucker, especially with Westbrook on the roster. And in a similar situation to former Laker Kyle Kuzma, it is hard to be consistent on a team when your role on that team is inconsistent. Some games the Lakers let Horton Tucker take care of a lot of ball handling duties and run a couple DHOs for him, and some games he is just used as a spot shooter. I believe in the right situation THT can flourish similar to how Kuzma has prior to the Lakers getting LeBron and AD and now in Washington.
