POTENTIAL PACERS TRADE SUITORS FOR MYLES TURNER
The Indiana Pacers the other day made it known they have made their big three players of Sabonis, Turner, and Lavert to be made available in trade talks, per Shams of the Athletic. Three and D players in the league always have high value and will always be needed on any team. But when you’re a stretch five and an elite rim protector, that is even more rare in the league. The Pacers could have all 29 other teams calling about Turner with the value he has on both ends at the center position.

1. NEW YORK KNICKS
The 12-13 New York Knicks could definitely use a trade to get things back up to speed and get them back in the playoff race. The Knicks have been linked to Myles Turner since August as they reportedly were pushing hard to acquire him. Turner obviously fits Thibs defensive minded gritted system but then with the ability to be a floor spacer next to a guy like Julius Randle. Turner would obviously be an upgrade to Mitchell Robinson and Nerlens Noel. It's a match made in heaven really and it makes the Knicks a lot more interesting.
As for a trade package, the Knicks have plenty of valuable young guys that Indiana could have interest in. Myles Turner is making about $17.5Million dollars this year. Would Indiana want Kemba and his eight million alongside Malcom Brogdon? Maybe, since TJ McConnell is reportedly out for a while. But guys like Obi Toppin, Quentin Grimes, maybe even Kevin Knox, and Mitchell Robinson could interest the Pacers. I think there's multiple ways New York could get the deal done, just depends on what Indiana wants and values the most.

2. CHARLOTTE HORNETS
The Hornets are set when it comes to guard play, with LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier. Their wings this year as well have been playing very well in Miles Bridges and Kelly Oubre and Gordon Hayward. But if there is one thing the Hornets need is a competent big man. No disrespect to Mason Plumlee he is a very solid big man and is one of the best backup bigs when he is in that position. But Plumlee has not even been the same player he was last year with the Pistons. Acquiring Turner who is currently just twenty five years old gives the Hornets a great looking team. As I said Turner would fit on really any team, but a lineup of Melo, Rozier, Hayward, Bridges, and Turner would be a nice one.
Mason Plumlee is making eight million he would probably be out in the move I'd have to assume. As the Pacers head into the rebuilding stage depending on who the Hornets would want to give up out of PJ Washington, JT Thor, Jalen Mcdaniels, Kai Jones, etc to package together with picks to get the deal done.
The Raptors have been another team to be linked with Turner and have a lot of interest in him. Toronto is similar to Charlotte where they are covered in the guard and wing department really but are are lacking in competent big men. The two man game of Scottie Barnes and Myles Turner potentially has the ability to be a lessser version obviously of the Giannis-Lopez tandem. With guys like Pascal and Scottie being quality slashers having someone to kick it out too like Turner would work well.
The Raptors do have Dragic's contract to match Turners straight up if it was just that simple. But if the Raptors really want Myles they do have some valuable picks they could offer alongside possible guys like Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn possibly.

4. MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES
Now the Grizzlies did let go of Jonas Valanciunas in spite of him being their second best player last year and on some nights the best. I think their mindset behind that offseason was to have Jaren Jackson Jr start playing center more and be the future center. But when an opportunity arises like this, I think its one you can not pass on. All while a player like Jaren may not really be a center though he has been trying more this year especially in crunch time for Memphis. But a move like this puts less pressure on Jaren to move into that center position while having another stretch big for Ja Morant in Myles Turner.
As far as making the contracts match, Steven Adams straight up does just that. Then Memphis could possibly add young guys like Brandon Clarke, Jarrett Culver, or Xavier Tillman and a couple picks to intrigue Indiana.
